I just wanted to send some feedback about Emily, who runs the Rebounce Fitness class as she is an absolutely amazing instructor and deserves some recognition.
When I first started, I was really nervous about beginning my fitness journey but Emily instantly made me feel welcome and reassured. She brings so much warmth, fun, and fantastic energy to every single class.
The class also fills a much-needed gap, as it welcomes people of all shapes and sizes and those at every stage of their fitness journey. Thanks to Emily’s fantastic ability to encourage and motivate, I keep coming back and I’m actually enjoying exercise in a way I never thought I would. Emily truly is a credit to the fitness industry.
Please continue to work with Rebounce Fitness, as attending their classes has given me a new found confidence. I am losing weight and my mental health is improving with the exercise.
I referred my self to Rotherham health wave back on 14th march 2025 after seeing an advertisement how to manage your weight on Facebook. After a few weeks of waiting I had contact from a man called Gary who did group sessions at Greasborough medical centre every Friday. The group was lovely friendly & relaxed.
Gary was very down to earth chap, gave fabulous interesting information each week on different topics of food intake/ healthy fats/ bad fats: exercise/ mental health & lots of other interesting information.
Although my membership is at the end I'd like to give positive feedback throughout the weeks I attended.
The best thing for me was the free gym pass we all got for attending 8 weeks in a row.
For me I tried the swimming , I always thought personally I wouldn't enjoy it but for me now it has opened up a new enjoyment in my life and have found myself joining up for a full membership for the year. Swimming four times a week and have finally lost my stone in weight that I was aiming for!
I can highly recommend to anyone that is wanting/ needing that help to start their own weight loss Journey to refer themselves to Rotherham Health wave.

My name is Shaun, I was in hospital with a bad heart and was asked if I smoked which i did around 30 per day, but I wasn't bothered about giving up. I then decided to try and with the help of Rotherham Healthwave I believe I'm succeeding. It's now March and I've just had a pacemaker fitted, I'm feeling a lot healthier, and my breathing has improved along with my bank balance. Quitting smoking is one of the best decisions I've made so take my advice quit it might just save your life.
Just a message to say a big Thank you to Mike at Rotherham United Community Trust who runs many classes for Rotherham Healthwave.
I attend the weekly TRX sessions which I’ve never tried before and I am now completely hooked on the benefits. It’s a friendly relaxed group for which Mike is always on hand to support and give advice.
This session has helped my mental and physical health, and given me the motivation to also go swimming and running.
Currently in week 8 of the journey and so far I feel improvement in myself, especially in my mind as well as my body.
Although the weight loss is gradual (sometimes I gained a little), I am making healthier choices and taking and taking in better nutritional value and vitamins.
I have learned a lot and would like to see these programmes offered for longer periods.
Since going to the Healthwave program I can breathe much better than I did and I have lost a stone in 6 weeks.
Dawn my tutor is a very good tutor, thanks to her I have stuck to the weight loss advice and I would recommend her to anyone
I found the signing up process and booking the classes easy, although I have learned to book early as classes fill quickly. I have been swimming at Wath Leisure Centre On my first visit the member of staff taking my details was polite, cheerful and very helpful ( has continued the same every week) explaining all classes which were available.
After having a second knee replacement, I had muscle wastage on that leg. I can definitely see an improvement and feel that swimming is beneficial for me.

I think the programme has been really good and I have thoroughly enjoyed attending the spin classes and loved that it's been free, so it has motivated me to go and try and lose weight. I attended Boogie Bounce the other week as these have recently been added on to the app. Emily is a great instructor full of energy and motivation.
Healthwave has been a real boost since my wife passed away. The activities ease my sadness and worry. I have enjoyed table tennis best, they are a good crowd

I would just like to thank you for inviting me to join the Rotherham Healthwave scheme. As someone who finds things quite difficult at times, the sessions have been a boon. They have many positives for my overall health and wellbeing.
I have chosen to attend the weekly swim at Wath and the Tai Chi at the Stadium in Rotherham, both of which make me feel calmer and less anxious. I would not have attended a Tai Chi course in any other setting. I am dyspraxic and find things requiring patterns difficult to master. I am also unsure of myself in new situations.
This beginner’s group has therefore been ideal for me. I would not be confident to join another, more advanced group.
